Acoustic Duo
Leeds-based acoustic duo, playing popular hits from the 50's to the present including The Animals, Harry Styles and The Beatles.
Taking Cover is fronted by guitarist and singer, Oliver Vawdrey who draws on his blues and songwriting background to deliver crowd interaction, energetic guitar playing, powerful singing and exciting guitar solos.
He is joined by percussionist and jazz trumpet player Sam Ehret-Pickett. Sam is very active in the Leeds jazz and function scene playing with some of Leeds's top jazz bands including Ancient Infinity Orchestra, Fergus Quill's Big Band and his own project Amon Ra Collective.
Having met whilst studying music at Leeds Conservatoire they come together to perform inventive and exciting covers. Oliver now holds a Master's degree in songwriting whilst Sam holds a degree in jazz trumpet.
